What should you prepare?
Return to the fenced shrine beyond the Dagger Belt islands with its gate key. Equip the spear, place healing in quick slots and allow dagger charges to recover. Save at the monument beforehand so that another attempt starts with the key already secured.

How should you handle its reach?
Retreat outside the sword’s reach while recovering power, then attack during a safe opening. The overhead strike reaches farther than a short step backward may cover. Leave room behind you; the Rusted Spear’s secondary attack combines a thrust with backward movement.
What must you do after winning?
Interact with the defeated Guardian to receive the figurine, then collect and equip Endu beyond it. The opening guide identifies the new diamond under the Power Meter as your first Wind Dash charge. The dash remains available when a different melee weapon is selected.
